AAER, Inc. Signs Wind Turbine Supply Agreement With Devon Canada Corp.

Date Posted: December 2, 2008

Montreal, QC—AAER Inc., Canada’s only original equipment manufacturer of wind turbines of 1 megawatt (MW) or more, announced Dec. 1 that it has signed an agreement for the delivery of a 1.5 MW wind turbine to Devon Canada Corporation for the Coleman Gas Plant, located in the Crowsnest Pass area of Alberta, Canada.

“We are thrilled that an energy producer of Devon Canada’s stature has chosen AAER’s technology as they explore the potential of wind energy,” says Dave Gagnon, president and CEO of AAER. “Devon Canada is a subsidiary of Devon Energy, a Fortune 500 company and one of Canada’s largest oil and gas exploration and production companies.”

“We are currently in the process of assembling two A-1500 turbines to be delivered to US customers and the Devon Canada project will represent the first AAER wind turbine to be delivered in Canada, giving us important visibility in our home market,” continues Gagnon. “We believe this agreement provides further validation of our capabilities as we begin large-scale commercial turbine production at our Bromont plant.”

The A-1500 turbine is scheduled for delivery to Devon Canada during the third quarter of 2009.

The contract, worth approximately C$2.5 million, includes an extended warranty, as well as operation and maintenance fees for a period of five years.
