Inc. Magazine Names EnerNex Corp. to List of Fastest Growing U.S. Private Companies

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Aug. 20, 2008 — EnerNex Corporation, an electric power engineering firm, was recently named to Inc. magazine’s “Inc. 5,000” list of fastest growing private companies in the country. Inc. ranked EnerNex number 1709 on the 2008 list.

The comprehensive nature of the Inc. 5,000 list, which includes companies of all sizes from all sectors, makes this recognition even more special.”

The 2008 Inc. 5,000 list measures revenue growth from 2004 through 2007.

To qualify, companies have to be U.S.-based and privately held, independent – not subsidiaries or division of other companies – as of December 31, 2007, and have had at least $200, 000 in revenue in 2004, and $2 million in 2007.

The 2008 Inc. 5000, as revealed online at www.inc.com, reported combined revenue of $184.4 billion and three-year growth of 334 percent.

EnerNex is one of 101 Tennessee companies named to this year’s list and one of only six Knoxville-based companies.

With 220 percent revenue growth in the last three years, EnerNex broke the list at 1709 and number 45 among energy companies.

EnerNex Corporation, established in 2003, provides engineering and consulting services, along with software solutions and customization, for the electric power industry.
